Jackson-Milton LSD
I have a question about my local school district's actions. How can Jackson-Milton LSD afford to purchase land when they have a current 2.8 mill levy to provide for fiscal emergency?

JM levy
They can afford it because they reallocated funds in July to pay for the
new school. But in doing so, the state increased their operating funds to
make up for the difference and passed the bill on to taxpayers. So even
though people did NOT vote for the 2.85 mill levy, they will haev to pay it
anyhow. It's all compliments of the JM school board. What can we do?
Nothing about what was done in July...it was actually legal under Ohio
law. All we can do now is vote not on this Nov. 7 levy and future levies
to keep our taxes from going up more. And we can vote these school board
members out when they come up again. If they are supposed to represent us,
and they do the opposite of what we ask, why should we allow them to
continue serving?
